The Core of Our Being
- An awakening grounded in our biology and nature (our home base)
- Wakefulness, presence, strength, love, wisdom
- Feeling a sense of connection, calm and centeredness
- Letting go of stress, cravings, hatred, fear, greed, possessiveness, shame, ignorance, delusion
How?
- Three short practices:
- Steady Mind
- Warm Heart
- Inner Peace
7 Qualities of Awakening
- We can take the fruits of practice as a path of practice
- Steadying the Mind: focusing thoughts, thinking and attention
- Warming the Heart: compassion, kindness and love for self and others
- Resting in Fullness: equanimity; disengaging from craving; establishing a sense of peace, contentment, love, fullness
- Being Wholeness: accepting yourself fully; undivided internally; access to and a healthy relationship with all parts of your mind; increasing sense of awareness
- Receiving Nowness: comfortable with in the present and with impermanence (how things change and end)
- Opening into Allness: connect with everything; less sense of self; feeling supported by connectedness to nature, people, the universe
- Finding Timelessness: field of possibility, spaciousness, stillness
